The Artists and Author series is an exciting new element that has been added to the Gallery 4311 bi-monthly art receptions.
San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine is pleased to announce the launch of Artists & Authors, an exciting new element added to its Gallery 4311 bi-monthly art receptions.
In addition to the local artists who show an array of artistic mediums including acrylic, silk and oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, photography, mixed medium, Japanese brush paintings and more, we will be inviting local authors to showcase their works at select receptions.
The first author for our inaugural event will be M.G. Crisci, who will join us on Sunday, July 10 to introduce his book, Papa Cado. He will participate in a discussion and book signing at the event. Copies of Mr. Crisci’s book will also be available for purchase with 30% of the proceeds donated to San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine.
Gallery 4311 consists of art juried by a volunteer committee every two months. Each rotation is launched with a hosted wine and cheese reception. Receptions are open to the public and provide an opportunity for the community at large to meet the artists and view their work. Artists donate 30% of the proceeds from their Gallery 4311 art sales to San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine. All art receptions are held on select Sundays, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., at Gallery 4311 located on the organization’s Hillcrest campus located at 4311 Third Avenue, San Diego, 92103. More information about the program and upcoming art receptions can be found at www.sdhospice.org/art.
