Former Member of San Diego Hospice National Advisory Board actively supported hospice care in San Diego

SAN DIEGO – “On behalf of the San Diego Hospice Corporate Board of Directors and the San Diego Hospice Foundation, we are saddened to hear about the passing of one of America’s legendary medical leaders, our dear friend and long-time San Diego Hospice supporter Dr. C. “A former National Advisory Board Member of the San Diego Hospice Foundation, he was chosen as the 1989 San Diego Hospice Humanitarian Award recipient. Dr. Koop used his standing in the medical community and platform as America’s top doctor to educate and inform Americans on a long list of topics over the years, including the importance of hospice care. Thanks to his vocal leadership and support, we are forever grateful for his efforts locally and nationally on behalf of hospice care. Our hearts go out to his family and the medical community around the world.”
