The Margaret A. Cargill Foundation Donates $383,600 to San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine
Funds support patient and family care to San Diego Hospice patients
SAN DIEGO, CA - The Margaret A. Cargill Foundation has donated $383,600 to San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine  to support patient and family care for all ages throughout San Diego County.
Known as the model for quality, compassionate care for people facing a serious or life-limiting illness, hospice and palliative care involves a team-oriented approach to expert medical care, with an emphasis on effective pain management, symptom control, and emotional support.
"We are tremendously grateful for the Cargill Foundation's generosity and appreciate their contribution. This gift will help us provide hospice and palliative care to more than 4,400 seriously ill adults and children in our community this year," said Traci Bruckner , Chief Development Officer for the San Diego Hospice Foundation.
