Gallery 4311

 

Each Gallery 4311 reception is from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. The receptions feature hosted wine and cheese as well as live piano music. Thirty percent of proceeds from the sale of books and art will be donated to San Diego Hospice and the Institute for Palliative Medicine.

Our next art reception will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2012.

The next Artists & Authors series will be March 11, 2012. The Artists & Authors series is a new element that will be incorporated into select receptions throughout the year where, in addition to local artists, we invite a local author to participate as well. Click here for more info.

Meditations at the Edge Workshop

February 4, 2012:  8:30 a.m.  – 4:00 p.m.
Held at San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine W.M. Keck Conference Center
4311 Third Ave, San Diego, CA 92103
Cost: $20.00/per person 


This experiential workshop will use meditative tools for resolving the shadows of suffering, spiritual pain and disheartenment. Led by:

  • Norman Fischer,  Zen teacher, poet, author, and founding faculty at the Metta Foundation
  • Elizabeth Hamilton, Zen Center of San Diego teacher since 1992 and author of Untrain Your Parrot – and Other No-nonsense Instruction on the Path of Zen
  • Dr. Charles R. Lewis, San Diego Hospice Faculty Emeritus and inaugural Chairman for San Diego Hospice’s Sacred Art of Living and Dying committee

Melisa & Kaye’s Memorial 5K Walk and Fun Run is an event to celebrate the lives of loved ones past and present, as well as those directly impacted by hospice and palliative medicine programs throughout San Diego County. The event will include the 5K Walk and Fun Run, kid’s activities and a health fair.
